Shelby Crozier's Marathon Mission

DID YOU KNOW????

Every five minutes, someone in the United States learns that they have leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma? That’s nearly 300 people per day! Every nine minutes, another child or adult dies from these diseases. In 1960 the survival rates were around 4% and through fundraising and research it’s up to about 81%!

This is why I have joined The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in their pursuit to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma. I have become a member of the society’s Team in Training (TNT). TNT is the world’s largest and most successful endurance sports training program and the Society’s premier fundraising event. Each year people like me (i.e. non-athletes) are able to raise millions of dollars that helps the continuing efforts to find a cure. This year, TNT is participating as a team in the Adidas Dublin Marathon on October 25, 2004.

Your generous contributions to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will go a long way. Seventy-six (76) cents of every dollar will go directly to research and patient services. Your tax-deductible donations will go directly to help save someone’s life, someone like Grant or Zachary, two young Boise boys that I am running in honor of.
